Soapmaking on the Farm

 

 

 

 

 

 

Have you ever wanted to test your hand at the art of making handmade bath and body products?

 

Are you crafty and creative and interested in learning how to make soap for you and your family?

 

Are you conscious of commercial bath products and want to learn how to make healthier options for your skin?

 

Are you interested in learning from a professional soapmaker who can simplify instructions and teach you, show you, and guide you through the process?

 

 

 

For a limited time, award-winning soapmaker, owner of Sweet Biscuit Bath and Body Company, Angela Penny, is teaching the art of soapmaking on her farm in Coxheath.

 

 

Students will gain:

  • A thorough knowledge of step-by-step instructions.

  • An understanding of safety practices and procedures.

  • Confidence to make soap at home.

  • Detailed written instructions, demonstrations, and hands-on practice.

  • Troubleshooting techniques.

  • Ability to formulate your own recipes.

  • Your own handmade creations to take home.

  • Knowledge of where to purchase ingredients.

 

 

 

This is the first time that Angela has shared any of her Sweet Biscuit recipes, knowledge, and industry secrets with anyone!

 

 

 

Due to time constraints and the amount of material to cover, there is a limit of 8 students per class

 

Classes will be held on the weekends.

Itinerary

Saturday class begins at 9:30am.

9:30-12:00 Bath Bombs

12:00-1:00 Lunch Break

1:00-2:30 Sugar Scrubs

2:30-3:00 Coffee Break

3:00-6:00 Beginner Soapmaking

 

Sunday class begins at 10:00am

10:00-12:00 Advanced Soapmaking 1st batch

12:00-1:00 Lunch Break

1:00-3:00 Advanced Soapmaking 2nd batch

3:00 Clean up and Wrap up

 

You will get to take home all of your creations, approximately 30 bars of soap, 2lbs of sugar scrub, and a dozen bath bombs. (retail value is over $300)

 

 

 

Cost for the entire weekend course is $425.

 

 

You will need:

  • Two old towels or small blankets.

  • Safety glasses.

  • An old apron.

  • Clothes that can get stained and messy.

Bath Bombs

 

 

Fizzy balls of bath-time bliss to soak away your cares, soothe tired muscles, and create a heavenly scented escape without leaving your bathroom.

Handmade Creamy Soap

 

 

Sudsy lather, made with healthy oils helps to treat your body to added moisturizers and doesn't dry out your skin like heavily scented body washes and chemically-laden commercial counterparts.
